Hall of Fame QB makes bold Jordan Love prediction for Week 2

The Green Bay Packers will face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 without two of their most important offensive weapons. Christian Watson will miss his second consecutive game with a hamstring injury he suffered prior to Week 1, and Aaron Jones will not play after injuring his hamstring during a long catch and touchdown run against the Chicago Bears.

Despite being down two of the offense’s best weapons, Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner believes that Packers starting quarterback Jordan Love will still feast on the Falcons defense. He boldly predicted that the Packers would not only beat the Falcons, but that Love would do something that no other Packers’ quarterback has ever done.

Last week, Love threw three touchdown passes against the Bears in his debut as the Packers’ number one quarterback. Sunday on Fox, Warner predicted that, despite the injuries to Jones and Watson, Love would throw five touchdown passes against Atlanta.

Last week, Romeo Doubs was the recipient of two Love touchdown throws. Over the course of the offseason, Love and Doubs formed quite the connection. Don’t be surprised if Doubs continues to get more targets in crucial situations even when Watson is healthy. That is not to say Watson will never be targeted, but the chemistry between Love and Doubs is special.

Luke Musgrave and Jayden Reed will likely see more targets without Jones or Watson playing. Troy Anderson, the reputable Falcons middle linebacker, is out for the game with an injury. The middle of the field will be open and both Musgrave and Reed can thrive there.

It also would not be surprising to see Samori Toure haul in a long touchdown. While Reed and Toure play the same position (slot), Toure is a sneaky route runner and may be able to get behind the Falcons’ secondary.
