Green Bay promotes Jon-Eric Sullivan to VP of Player Personnel

The Green Bay Packers made some quiet moves in regards to their front office staff on Friday. The most notable move was the promotion of Co-Director of Player Personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan to the role of Vice President of Player Personnel. Sullivan held his co-director position for each of the last four seasons in Green Bay. The former college receiver first joined the Packers in 2003 as an intern during the team's training camp.

Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst described Sullivan as "indispensable" in a 2018 interview. The former South Carolina and Gardner-Webb receiver spent eight seasons as a college scout with the team before becoming an executive in 2016. He was in charge of covering the Central Plains region from 2008-2011 and the Southeast region from 2012-2015. He would then go on to spend two seasons as the Packers Director of College Scouting during 2016 and 2017. He also spent time as Green Bay's Annual NFL Scouting Combine Representative. Jon-Eric Sullivan is now the third man in charge behind Director of Football Operations Milt Hendrickson and Gutekunst.

The team also made other significant promotions, including Bryan Engel to Green Bay's Director of Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer, along with Nate Weir to Associate Athletic Trainer and Director of Rehab. The Green Bay Packers kick their training camp schedule off on Wednesday, July 28th.
