The New York Giants tweaked their game-day roster ahead of their Sunday contest against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Giants placed tight end Lawrence Cager (groin) on injured reserve. Cager had been listed as doubtful on the team's final injury report. New York signed linebacker Darrian Beavers, who has spent most of the season on the team's practice squad, to take Cager's roster spot.
Beaver, the team's sixth-round pick out of Cincinnati in 2022, missed his rookie season with a torn ACL. He competed with fellow second-year man Micah McFadden for a roster spot this summer, but Beavers, who was still rehabbing from his injury, ended up on the practice squad while McFadden went on to win a starting role alongside Bobby Okereke.
New York also elevated kicker Mason Crosby and receiver Dennis Houston from the practice squad. Hpsuton's elevation is of interest as the Giants listed receiver Wan'Dale Robinson (quad) as questionable for Sunday's game. Houston could take Robinson's role if the second-year receiver isn't ready.
The Giants host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
