Former Bucs WR Antonio Brown thinks Tom Brady will return to NFL?

The last time the football world saw star wide receiver Antonio Brown competing as an active NFL player, he was storming off the field and seemingly quitting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during a game at the New York Jets on Jan. 2.

Brown spent time playing alongside legendary quarterback Tom Brady as a member of the Buccaneers and New England Patriots, and the 33-year-old recently added his name to the ever-growing list of individuals who believe Brady's retirement won't last through the start of the 2022 season.

TMZ Sports asked Brown on Thursday night if he felt Brady would remain retired "for good."

"Why would he do that?" Brown responded.

When asked if Brady will come back, Brown answered: "I think so." The seven-time Pro Bowl selection added that "whoever wants to win" will look to land Brady.

Brown's comments came fewer than 24 hours before former NFL offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger, who was once tasked with protecting Brady while with the Patriots, tweeted the signal-caller's relationship with Tampa Bay head coach Bruce Arians "was souring" by the end of the Buccaneers' latest playoff run.

Current Patriots running back Brandon Bolden is also no stranger to Brady and said earlier this month he'd put the percentage of the G.O.A.T. making a comeback "above 50, because you can just never rule out Tom Brady." Meanwhile, Patriots radio broadcaster Scott Zolak is among those who have floated out the idea that Brady could force a trade to the San Francisco 49ers, his favorite childhood team.

As CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin wrote earlier this week, Brady remains signed with the Buccaneers through the 2022 season and hasn't yet been placed on the reserve/retired list.
