Eagles receive two major injury updates ahead of Thursday showdown with Vikings
Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles were able to pull out a big 25-20 victory over the New England Patriots in Week 1 NFL action. It was a tough win, but one that set the tone for a team that has just one goal. That goal is to get back to the Super Bowl after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the big game last year, and win a championship.

With that in mind, they are preparing to take on the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football in Week 2.

Both teams are loaded with talent, but the Vikings fell to 0-1 with a tough loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1. The Eagles will certainly have their work cut out for them.

Ahead of Week 2 action, the Eagles have received two major injury updates. Philadelphia has upgraded star defensive tackle Fletcher Cox to a limited participant in practice on Tuesday, which is a huge step in the right direction for him. Unfortunately, cornerback James Bradberry was a “did not practice” designation.

So much has happened in just one week of NFL football being back. A ton of injuries have already occurred as well. Most notably, New York Jets superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down for the season due to an Achilles injury.

If the Eagles are going to make a run back to the Super Bowl, they will need players to stay healthy. We’re still very early in the season, but getting both Cox and Bradberry back on the field is a must as soon as possible.

Hopefully, both players will be able to go on Thursday night. The Vikings are not an easy opponent and are hungry for a win after losing on Sunday.

This should be a very entertaining game. We’ll have more updates on Cox and Bradberry as Thursday night draws closer.
