Dolphins' Tyreek Hill addresses trade rumors surrounding teammate

Even from halfway across the world, Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill is still monitoring trade rumors surrounding the organization.

He took to social media on Wednesday to call out any chatter involving fellow wideout Jaylen Waddle, who won't be a free agent until 2026, per Spotrac.

One notable recent trade proposal came from ESPN analyst and former Dolphins executive vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum, who floated a deal of Waddle for Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie. While many called out Tannenbaum and said that the Chiefs would be foolish to make the move, Hill clearly wants his team to hold onto Waddle.

McDuffie is only 23 years old and forms one half of Kansas City's dynamic cornerback duo with L'Jarius Sneed. McDuffie finished the 2023 season as the team leader in forced fumbles (five), while ranking second in tackles (80) and tied for second in passes defended (seven).

Waddle is eligible for a contract extension and though he missed three games last year, he still posted his third straight 1,000-yard campaign to start his career. Hill had 593 receiving yards as a rookie in 2016 with Kansas City before collecting at least 1,000 yards in six of the last seven seasons.

Waddle was quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's second-favorite target behind Hill again in 2023 and it wasn't close. The former No. 6 overall pick ranked only behind the "Cheetah" in targets (104), receptions (72), receiving yards (1,014) and receiving touchdowns (four).
