Danica Patrick celebrates Aaron Rodgers’ deal with champagne

It looks like Danica Patrick celebrated boyfriend Aaron Rodgers’ huge contract extension with a bit of the bubbly, according to her Instagram story.

Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at long last came to terms on a four-year extension worth upwards of $134 million. “Big day,”  Patrick wrote for the Instagram story, along with hearts in Packers green and yellow.

The image featured a bottle of Armand De Brignac Brut Gold champagne engraved with “Aaron Rodgers — Green Bay Packers” amid scattered balloons, again of course in Packers colors.

Rodgers also took to Instagram to celebrate the huge deal and express gratitude to the Packers organizations and former teammates.

It’s been an amazing ride the last 13 years; excited to start year 14 knowing that my future is here, in Green Bay, for our 100th season. I’ve grown up in this place, and grown older and a little wiser along the way. Thank you to our incredible fan base for inspiring us players to be better year after year. Thank you to the Packers organization for standing by me time and time again and giving me the opportunity to lead this football team. And thank you to my teammates along the way, past and present who have impacted my life in so many positive ways, giving me friendships for life. Patrick confirmed her relationship with Rodgers in January. Interestingly, the retired race car driver was once a Chicago Bears fan but not surprisingly has since switched allegiances to her former favorite team’s longtime rival.

On an amusing note, it appears some media outlets for some reason opted to troll Rodgers about the contract extension by referring to him only as Patrick’s boyfriend.
