Dallas Cowboys Get More Bad News on Injury Front Amid Trevon Diggs’ Stunning ACL Tear
Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Things have taken a turn for the worse for the Dallas Cowboys after their dominant Week 2 victory against the New York Jets on Sunday. Just three days before they return to action to face the Arizona Cardinals and try to maintain their unbeaten record, disaster struck. This came in the form of Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs suffering a shocking knee injury in practice that will now force him to sit out for an extended period.

As it turns out, Diggs was not the only injury casualty on Thursday.

Trevon Diggs Done for the Season

After helping Dallas secure two wins in their first two games of the new season, Diggs will now be forced to watch his teammates from the sidelines the rest of the way. This was after it was confirmed that the 25-year-old had suffered a torn ACL during Thursday’s practice. The Cowboys later confirmed that Diggs has indeed been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The All-Pro CB will now go through a tough road to recovery as he hopes to be ready for Dallas’ season opener in 2024.

More Dallas Cowboys Stars Nursing Injuries

Unfortunately for the Cowboys, Diggs was not the only player who sustained an injury on Thursday. Pro Bowl offensive linesman Tyler Biadasz was also added to the injury report due to a hamstring issue. The 25-year-old was unable to finish practice, with the medical team needing to attend to Biadasz after the knock.

Moreover, six-time All-Pro guard Zack Martin was not able to practice on Thursday. The eight-time Pro Bowler is still dealing with an ankle injury, but it is worth noting that he was able to play through the issue on Sunday against the Jets.

At this point, the status of both Biadasz and Martin for Sunday’s matchup against the Cardinals remains up in the air.
