Commanders’ Benjamin St-Juste guarantees interceptions with praise of eye surgery

St-Juste replied, “A few INTS guaranteed!”

There were no reports of St-Juste having vision problems. He missed five games in 2022 due to a lingering ankle injury. He started the season assigned to be the slot cornerback.

However, the struggles of William Jackson III and St-Juste flashes on top wide receivers forced the Commanders’ hand. Ultimately Jackson got benched, and St-Juste moved on the outside to replace him.

St-Juste thrived in his new role. He emerged with the assignment of covering the opposing team’s No. 1 wide receiver. He played an integral part in turning around the Commanders into the No. 3 defense in the league.

St-Juste has had an impressive two seasons. However, he has yet to record an interception. Maybe his eyes were holding him back all this time. Who Knew? With the fix, St-Juste could possibly improve his play next season with some turnovers, as he promised.

St-Juste said a “few” of his teammates have had the surgery and recommended it to him. Those teammates have raved about a “tremendous” change in the way they see the field, says the cornerback.

Hopefully, for St-Juste, the procedure is worth every penny, and he sees good results on the field.
