Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes talks the new steakhouse he and Travis Kelce will open
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs have two of the most popular players in the NFL right now, if not the two most popular. Of course, that happens when all you do is win and you happen to date global superstars. If you are still unaware of who the two players are, they also happen to be the greatest duo in NFL history—Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

These two have their own investments and companies that they run, whether it be ownership in sports teams, like Alpine F1, or other things like that, but are now embarking into a new category of ownership - the food industry.

Mahomes and Kelce are opening their own steakhouse in Kansas City and are calling it 1587 Prime, which, to me, is a pretty sweet name. On Monday, Mahomes revealed a few things on the menu but couldn't give it all away.

"Travis and I have been working on that for a while," Mahomes said. "We took from some of the things [we like], and we have a love for bringing people together. We are going to do everything we can to keep bringing people together, and what better place to do it than Kansas City? I have already seen the menu, and I can't give too many things away, but there will be ketchup. The Andy Reid cheeseburger will definitely be there."

Mahomes also mentioned that the steakhouse would not be too expensive because he wanted everyone to be able to come. He and Kelce want to make a place that people can afford, which is great to hear when you think about how expensive game tickets are these days.

The steakhouse sounds like it's going to be a hit.
