Cardinals QB Kyler Murray: 'All of this nonsense is not what I'm about'

Kyler Murray broke his silence Monday a day after a report from ESPN shed light on budding drama between the quarterback and the Arizona Cardinals.

"I play this game for the love of it, my teammates, everyone who has helped me get to this position that believed in me and to win championships," Murray wrote. "All of this nonsense is not what I'm about, never has been, never will be. Anyone who has ever stepped between those lines with me knows how hard I go.

"Love me or hate me but I'm going to continue to grow and get better."

Concerns about Murray's relationship with the Cardinals emerged last week when the quarterback scrubbed his social media clean, deleting all mentions of the team and any photo of him in an Arizona uniform.

On Sunday, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that Murray was frustrated that he was being "framed as a scapegoat" for the Cardinals' postseason loss. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo added more to the report later Sunday when he said Murray frustrated the Cardinals by removing himself late in the playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
