As I recover from yesterday’s game, it’s hard to find any flaws with Josh Allen’s play. At least as much as people are putting on him. Those fumbles were his fault, sure. But the interceptions weren’t. John Brown couldn’t track that ball to save his life and completely botched that play. Meanwhile, the interception to Cole Beasley was just an unfortunate bounce. Take away those fluke plays, and he had a pretty clean game and we aren’t talking about this today. Now, it’s time for Bengals Week as they face Cincinnati on Sunday at 3:00. Before then, let’s get into some Buffalo Bills overreactions.
Dolphins at Bills Wildcard thoughts…

– Mistakes by Bills kept it close. Turnovers, drops, etc.
– Josh not perfect but made enough big plays to win.
– Davis and Diggs > 100.
– Elam stepped up BIG.
– Crowd noise a FACTOR.
– Survive and advance.#BillsMafia #ForDamar
Bringing the band back together this season was fun to watch. But it’s not bringing a lot of success to the offense. Letting Beasley, Brown, and Isaiah McKenzie walk this off-season would be the best way to go for everyone involved. The Bills can’t keep relying on only Stefon Diggs to make this offense work. When that happens, the Bills get bounced from the playoffs early, like the past three seasons.
2.) If it wasn’t for the front seven getting to the QB, the defense would’ve looked much, much worse.
The Buffalo Bills had four sacks and 11 QB hits on Skylar Thompson; two sacks by Matt Milano, one by Boogie Basham, and one by Ed Oliver. There were multiple times where Jaylen Waddle or Tyreek Hill beat the secondary deep and, if they didn’t drop it, could’ve resulted in a very different outcome. The Bills seriously need Christian Benford back healthy next week, along with Dane Jackson and Kaiir Elam.
The Bills defense allowed just 3.35 yards/play to the Dolphins. That's incredibly low. Only 7 other times did a team allowed fewer y/p in the last 16 years of NFL playoff games. All won. Critical offensive mistakes gave Miami tons of chances and why it was only a 3 point win

Good things always happen when you throw to Knox, and it seems like they always go away from him early. Knox had three receptions for 20 yards and a touchdown on five targets, and it seems like they went away from him after that dropped touchdown pass. You made Knox one of the highest-paid TEs in the league for a reasons and, ever since they did, Josh just seemed to stop using him as much as he did last season.
It happened too many times. Dawson Knox, Gabe Davis, and Khalil Shakir were all guilty of it Sunday, and it never went the Bills’ way. The Bills can’t keep playing like that next week against the Bengals, because they won’t get as many opportunities as they so gracefully got from the Dolphins.
