In the closing minutes of "Super Wild Card Weekend," NFL fans saw another scary scene on the field late in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night.
Bucs wide receiver Russell Gage was carted off the field with 2:55 left in the fourth quarter after he was hit by Cowboys safety Donovan Wilson, causing his neck to bend awkwardly. Gage attempted to get up following the play but seemed to be unable to do so before trainers ran onto the field.
The 26-year-old was diagnosed with a concussion and transported to a local hospital. The team provided an update on Tuesday.

Hearing that Gage had "movement in all extremities" is great news, but fans in Tampa Bay will surely be keeping the LSU product on their collective minds regardless. Gage finished Monday's defeat with two receptions for 10 yards on eight targets.
He signed with the Buccaneers last offseason after spending his entire four-year career to that point with the Atlanta Falcons. Gage ended the 2022 regular season with a career-high five touchdown receptions, as well as 51 catches for 426 yards on 70 targets in 13 games (four starts).
