The Cleveland Browns could be on the cusp of an interesting move on the back end of the roster.
Free agent wide receiver and return man Dazz Newsome is working out for Cleveland today ahead of their Week 7 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.
#Browns are working out former #Bears wide receiver Dazz Newsome today, per a league source, one day after he worked out for #Steelers. Newsome and Keke Coutee worked out for Pittsburgh. While both did well, per sources, no deals at this time @KPRC2

Newsome, who worked out with the Pittsburgh Steelers recently too, is a 2021 sixth-round pick of the Chicago Bears. He played in three games during the 2021 season and returned six punts and had two catches.
Last season, Newsome spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad, as well as the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers organization is where Newsome has seen practice squad time in 2023.
Newsome went over 1,000 yards as a junior in college after converting from being a defensive back.
There are no injuries for the Browns at this time at wide receiver but they could use depth in the return game. Jaelon Darden was up from the practice squad last week to return. Special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone is looking for a boost from that group.
If the Browns make a move with the 5-foot-10 recover it would be to the practice squad initially.
