Breece Hall Criticizes Jets' OL Coach Keith Carter?
Brian Fluharty-USA TODAY Sports

Former Tennessee Titans' offensive tackle Taylor Lewan's recent social media post seems to have struck a chord with Breece Hall.

The New York Jets' running back appeared to endorse Lewan's criticism of current Green & White offensive line coach Keith Carter. Lewan, who is retired, played under Carter during their overlapping time in Tennessee, and the former NFL bookend apparently does not think too highly of the current NY assistant coach.

With Tennessee dismissing head coach Mike Vrabel this week, Lewan weighed in on the news via Instagram. The retired Titan shared a photo of himself and Vrabel with a stirring message below. "Loved him as a coach (except 2018) loved his coaching staff (besides Keith Carter)..." said Lewan.

Hall subsequently brought the conversation over to the social media site formerly known as Twitter and added his two cents in the form of emojis. Reposting Lewan's aforementioned quote, Hall commented by simply typing five hysterically laughing emojis "." The Jets' 22-year-old RB1 has since deleted the post from his X feed.

Was Hall throwing shade at Carter in this somewhat ambiguous post?

Behind an injury-ravaged makeshift offensive line, Hall struggled at times in the running game. There was an eight-game stretch where Hall failed to rush for at least 30 yards on six occasions. He was held under 2.4 yards per carry in seven of 17 appearances this season and finished six yards shy of a 1,000-yard rushing campaign.

Jets' third-year head coach Robert Saleh has said he doesn't anticipate any major changes to the coaching staff this offseason. If Carter returns, as expected, there could be an awkward interaction awaiting in Florham Park.
