Bolts Make Slew Of Roster Moves Ahead Of Packers Showdown
USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers have another tough matchup ahead as they prepare to take on the Green Bay Packers on the road. This will be a chance for the Bolts to return to .500 and, hopefully, start a winning streak.

However, the Bolts are struggling with a handful of injuries , and although it may not affect them this week, the foot injury to Chris Rumph II will, as he was placed on the injury reserve.

Because of this, LA signed Super Bowl-winning edge rusher Justin Hollins from the New York Giants practice squad.

The Bolts also signed tight end Stephen Anderson. Anderson returns to LA after spending 34 games with the team from 2019-2021. The 30-year-old was signed to the practice squad.

The Denver Broncos drafted Hollins in the 2019 draft in the fifth round. However, after one season, the Broncos waived the former Oregon Duc. The Los Angeles Rams then picked him up from waivers in 2020 and eventually helped LA win Super Bowl 56 in 2021.

LA then waived him in November 2022, went on to play for the Green Bay Packers for the rest of last season, signed him this past offseason, and then released him in late October.

The Giants signed Hollins three days after Green Bay released him, and now he is a Bolt. Hollins has collected 115 tackles, 9.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and three pass deflections in his career.

We'll see what type of role the 27-year-old plays with the Bolts.
