Bears WR Ted Ginn Jr: 'I believe Mitchell Trubisky is going to be our starter'

When the Chicago Bears traded for Super Bowl champion Nick Foles, they didn't necessarily plan on replacing fourth-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

Trubisky recently said he still believes the Bears are his team, and one of his teammates seems to think that's the case as well. Wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. was a guest on NFL Network Wednesday and, of course, the topic of Chicago's quarterback competition came into question.

The 35-year-old made a prediction about who the starting job would go to in 2020, and he picked the younger quarterback with less experience. However, he also noted that he's willing to play for whoever wins the job, whether it be Trubisky or Foles.

Chicago will have an open competition between the two quarterbacks once they can get on the field amid the coronavirus pandemic, but it appears Trubisky may have an advantage over Foles as he already knows the offense and the former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback has a rather short window to prepare for the season.

NFL training camps are expected to begin next month, provided the coronavirus pandemic doesn't drive a knife into those plans, and Chicago will have plenty of work to do if they have hopes of beating out the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings for the division title.
