Bears and Packers Inactive Lists

The Bears will not have Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson available to play against the Green Bay Packers.

Johnson was designated inactive as a result of a shoulder injury. He had been doubtful for the game.

Also on the inactive list is wide receiver Darnell Mooney (concussion), running back D'Onta Foreman, cornerback Greg Stroman Jr., guard Ja'Tyre Carter, safety Quindell Johnson and emergency QB Tyson Bagent.

Nathan Peterman is the backup QB this week because Bagent was away from practice sick this week.

Stroman being inactive indicated the Bears must have confidence in Kyler Gordon's ability to play despite a calf injury.

Something similar is true about Foreman being inactive. Justin Herbert had a back injury and was limited in practice at the end of the week but if Foreman is inactive then the Bears would be confident in their starter.

Center Lucas Patrick was placed on injured reserve (calf) so he did not appear on this list.

For Green Bay, wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) is inactice, as is running back AJ Dillon. They called Dillon out on Friday. Also inactive are linebacker Brenton Cox, linebacker Isaiah McDuffie, tackle Caleb Jones and wide receiver Grant DuBose.

The Packers will have wide receiver Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks available. Both had been on the injury list but will play.
