Adam Gase rules out Breshad Perriman, Jamison Crowder for Week 3 matchup vs. Colts

The New York Jets, who are 0-2 on the season, won't have an easy time trying to get their first win of the season at Lucas Oil Stadium against the Indianapolis Colts. The Jets will be without a few of their starters, and things are looking bleak.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, wide receivers Breshad Perriman and Jamison Crowder have been ruled out for Week 3. Right tackle George Fant also has been ruled out.

Perriman has gotten off to a rough start with the Jets after they signed him in free agency to replace Robby Anderson. The 27-year-old has just five receptions for 29 yards on the season. He left Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers after getting his ankle rolled up in the second half.

Crowder didn't play Week 2 against the 49ers with a hamstring injury. Fant, meanwhile, has been placed in concussion protocol.

The Jets have been stymied by injuries early on this season. Rookie wide receiver Denzel Mims was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury; cornerback Quincy Wilson is in concussion protocol; and cornerback Arthur Maulet has a hamstring strain.

Head coach Adam Gase enters Week 3 on the hot seat. After making some questionable decisions during Week 2 against San Francisco, many are surprised that he hasn't yet been fired. With the high probability that the Jets start the season 0-3, Gase may be preparing for his final game with New York.
