Aaron Rodgers ripped by estranged brother amid $1M wildfire relief donation

Aaron Rodgers announced Wednesday he would be donating $1 million to provide relief to those affected by the wildfires raging in California.

Rodgers posted video to Twitter in which not only is his $1 million donation is detailed but also how State Farm, a company with which Rodgers shares a longstanding endorsement partnership, has also pledged $1 — and up to $1 million — for every retweet of the Green Bay Packers star’s message.

The gesture by Rodgers, while mostly praised, did elicit some hostility out of his estranged brother Jordan, who blasted the Packers quarterback for ignoring his own family’s plight in the wake of the Camp Fire which has ravaged the region, including Rodgers’ hometown of Chico, Calif.

Jordan Rodgers accuses his brother in a tweet of not reaching out to his parents “to make sure they are safe.”

Jordan Rodgers’ name may be familiar to some as he won “The Bachelorette” back in 2016. Unfortunately for the Rodgers family, Jordan’s presence on the reality show revealed how Aaron has been estranged from his family for years, allegedly going back to 2014.

The feud also became the source of gossip during Rodgers’ relationship with actress Olivia Munn, who allegedly also became a significant source of friction between the quarterback and his family.

Regardless of how the relationship between Rodgers and his family currently stands, it’s a shame that a generous charitable act inspired such a public airing of familial animosity.
