49ers place Azeez Al-Shaair on IR, announce other roster moves ahead of MNF clash vs. Rams
Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers are just hours away from their NFC Championship Game rematch against the reigning Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. This time, the NFC West clash will occur at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.

The Niners had until 1 p.m. PT to make any roster moves ahead of tonight's game. The team officially announced the following moves.

Placed on injured reserve:

  • LB Azeez Al-Shaair

Promoted from the practice squad to the active roster:

  • WR Willie Snead IV

Elevated from the practice squad to the active roster:

  • RB Tevin Coleman
  • WR Malik Turner

Elevated players will revert back to the practice squad after the game. Al-Shaair suffered an MCL sprain in the 49ers' Week 3 loss to the Denver Broncos. He will have to miss at least four games.

The 49ers and Rams will announce their inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff, which is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. PT.
