Watch: 'Warriors come out to play!' Tari Eason sends taunting message to Steph Curry and team as Rockets knock on 10th spot
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Rockets Tari Eason had some taunting words for the Golden State Warriors. This came after the Rockets’ hyped win over the first-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. In an overtime battle, the 11th-seeded Rockets came out strong to upset the top team in the West.

The Rockets are looking to change their season, as they have won ten straight games now. Upsetting the best team in the conference has certainly improved their confidence. The team aims to secure a spot in the play-in tournament as they remain one win away from the 10th-seeded Golden State Warriors. Hyped by the overtime thriller, Rockets Tari Eason sent a message to the Warriors ahead of their matchup. This is what he said:

Warriors come out to play! I know they not liking this. Tari Eason via X

The 10th and 11th seed in the Western Conference will face each other next Thursday. The result will have huge implications as the winner most likely secures the play-in tournament spot. Eason, who is currently injured, took to his Instagram to taunt the Warriors. The forward posted an Instagram story after the Rockets win and challenged the Warriors to beat the team next week.

Despite the Thunder missing their star player, the Rockets’ win was certainly impressive, considering their performance as a team. All the starters scored in double digits, with Jalen Green leading the pack with 37 points. If the Houston Rockets manage to play such games consistently, they will achieve their purpose to qualify for the postseason.

Steph Curry and the 10th-seeded Warriors are facing some tough times

On the same day as the Houston Rockets victory, the Warriors also got an important win against the Orlando Magic. The team had a stellar fourth-quarter performance but faced some tough moments to get to the final result. Warriors forward Draymond Green started the game on a negative note as he got ejected four minutes into the first quarter.

Despite the upsetting start, a visibly disappointed Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins succeeded in getting the Warriors an essential win. They defeated the fourth-seeded team in the East. Regardless of the positive result, this was only the 7th win of the Warriors this month. Now they are 7-7 in March after having a great run last month. The team’s final spot in the play-in bracket makes it essential for them to win most of their games.

The team has somewhat remained inconsistent as they won two straight games after losing two straight games. On the other hand, the Rockets are on a winning streak and have come close to the 10th spot. Eason’s warning to the Warriors does not seem far-fetched, considering the close gap between the two teams. The Warriors must win consecutively to cling to their spot and qualify for the playoffs.
