Washington Wizards: Three Questions for the Second Half of the Season

It has certainly been impressive to watch Avdija run the Wizards offense and he has done a good job.

He will have his rougher games where people may jump to conclusions that this recent streak was just a facade, but I expect Avdija to continue to learn and grow and show us why he was a lottery pick.

2. Is There Any Chance Jordan Poole Can Turn Things Around?

The Washington guard has struggled to find any footing since he was traded from the Golden State Warriors.

But it isn't even about him being the 2022 playoff version of Poole, it is about at least being playable because lately he hasn't been.

As we talked about above with Avdija now running the offense maybe Poole can take a step back and be more of a third or fourth option instead of the main focus of the offense.

Yes, his contract doesn't call for him to be the third option but that maybe what Poole is suited best at and could turn his season around.

Hopefully the All-Star break was a good reset for him because his recent performances don't show us any signs of him turning it around.

3. Are They Going To At Least Try Johnny Davis?

Now in his second season, the Wizards guard and 2022 lottery pick's minutes has continued to be few and far in-between.

Is he really so bad that Washington can't even get him on the court?

Did they just give up on him?

I don't think anyone has the answer to that question, but from what we have seen from him on the court and the organizations actions it is extremely hard to believe they haven't.

Maybe they're hoping for a massive improvement going into his third year, which is a stretch considering he isn't even getting serious minutes now.

Fans have been clamoring to at least see Davis play, but maybe the Washington front office already has their answer and is tactfully giving us ours.
