Washington Wizards Announce 2 Roster Moves

Devon Dotson is coming off a year where he appeared in six regular season games for the Washington Wizards.  

The former Kansas star averaged 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest.  

In addition, he played in the G League and averaged 14.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 52.9% from the field and 39.2% from the three-point range in 29 regular season games (he also appeared in 12 Showcase Cup games and two G League playoff games). 

On Thursday, the Wizards announced that they have signed Dotson. 

Via The Wizards: "Official: We have signed Devon Dotson to an Exhibit 10 contract. We have also waived Jules Bernard."

Dotson has played part of three seasons in the NBA for the Bulls and Wizards. 

Over 28 games, he has career averages of 2.0 points and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 42.6% from the field. 

Meanwhile, Bernard is coming off a year where he played in the G League. 

He averaged 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest while shooting 44.6% from the field and 36.1% from the three-point range in 32 regular season games (he also appeared in 17 Showcase Cup games and two G League playoff games). 

As for the Wizards, they are coming off a season where they were the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-47 record.  

They missed the NBA playoffs (and the play-in tournament for the second straight season). 

On October 25, the Wizards will play their first game of the season when they visit the Indiana Pacers
