The surprising thing Victor Wembanyama is excited about in San Antonio

Thursday night was a huge night for Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs as the team officially made him the top pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

Wembanyama called it the best night of his life. He now gets to live out his NBA dream and follow in the footsteps of past Spurs No. 1 overall picks David Robinson and Tim Duncan.

He also gets to try a Texas/southwestern U.S. specialty -- breakfast tacos.

During his post-draft meeting with the media, Wembanyama said he is excited to try them and has heard a lot about them

To be fair, have you ever had a really good breakfast taco? If you have, then you know his level of excitement is absolutely warranted. They are spectacular, and San Antonio is crawling with elite breakfast taco joints to feed the appetite of the 7-foot-5 star. That has already inspired people to begin looking at the best breakfast tacos in the city.

There is an obvious endorsement deal to come from this.

Wembanyama is one of the most hyped and anticipated draft prospects to enter the NBA since LeBron James, with teams across the league hoping desperately for the draft lottery luck that could put him on their roster. The Spurs were the lucky team to get him.

This sort of thing has worked out well for the Spurs in the past as their previous two No. 1 overall picks -- Robinson and Duncan -- became the focal point and cornerstones of a championship organization that won five championships and played in six NBA Finals between 1999 and the 2013 seasons. The Spurs are hoping Wembanyama can follow in those footsteps and kick off another dynasty.
