Nets' Steve Nash: James Harden has 'gap to make up,' not ready to return

The Brooklyn Nets will continue to go to battle against the Milwaukee Bucks without James Harden.

Head coach Steve Nash said Sunday that Harden still has a "gap to make up" and isn't ready to return, according to ESPN's Malika Andrews.

When asked to elaborate on James Harden's hamstring progress, Steve Nash says he is doing on-court work, shooting and working through his rehab. Nash adds he still has a "gap to make up."

The Nets have already ruled Harden out for Sunday's Game 4. Nash said Saturday that the Beard was "progressing."

Harden suffered a hamstring injury just 43 seconds into Game 1 against the Bucks earlier this month. He hasn't played since.

Brooklyn's other players have stepped up in Harden's absence, though. Kyrie Irving is averaging 23 points through the first three games of the series, and Kevin Durant is averaging 30.3 points.

The Nets lead the Bucks 2-1.
