Los Angeles Owner Jeanie Buss Marries Comedian Beau In Malibu
Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Lakers majority owner Jeanie Buss has reportedly gotten hitched!

Sources inform TMZ Sports that Buss married longtime beau Jay Mohr -- an actor, comedian and sports broadcaster ("Jerry Maguire," "Small Soldiers," "Go") -- on Sunday.

The duo, who have been dating since 2017, gathered in front of 20 or so family and friends to tie the knot during a small, beachfront celebration in Malibu. The TMZ site includes a picture of Buss, in a wedding gown, being carried by Mohr next to the Pacific Ocean.

Buss, 61, and Mohr, 53, first got engaged in December 2022. It's the second marriage for Buss and the third for Mohr.

Jeanie's father, Dr. Jerry Buss, first purchased a majority stake in the Lakers and their then-home arena in Inglewood, the eventual Great Western Forum, from Jack Kent Cooke at the start of the 1979-80 season. Jeanie held various positions with her father's ownership group. She was first appointed as the GM of pro tennis team the Los Angeles Strings while still a teenager.

The younger Buss was eventually hired as president of the Great Western Forum, then was added as the team's Alternate Governor on the NBA Board of Governors starting in 1995. She was promoted to a role as the Lakers' EVP of Business Operations in 1999 ahead of the team's first championship season during the Shaquille O'Neal/Kobe Bryant era. She became outright team president in 2013-14 following the death of Dr. Buss. Under her stewardship, the team won its 17th title in 2020.
