Dejounte Murray failed to go over his points + rebounds + assists line on Tuesday night, bringing our Look of the Day hot streak to a painful end. The good news is we can start a brand new hot streak with our favorite NBA prop bet for Wednesday night's slate.
Nikola Jokic is on a mission to lock up his third MVP award. Since returning from the All-Star break, the Denver Nuggets superstar is averaging 27.3 points, 16.7 rebounds and 15.0 assists in three games. You could go a million different ways with Jokic's props on Wednesday night, but we're going to focus on the assists.
Over the last three games, Jokic leads the NBA in potential assists with 21.3 per game. Yes, 21.3! He had a ridiculous 26 potential assists against the Golden State Warriors Sunday night and converted 16 of them.
This line is only 9.5 because Jokic has put up double-digit assists just twice against Domantas Sabonis and the Sacramento Kings in six matchups, but we're trusting the recent surge of passing efficiency over the matchup history. Many of Jokic's potential assists come from kick-outs to three-point shooters, and the Kings rank dead last in the NBA in opponent three-point shooting percentage.
We don't see Jokic slowing down on Wednesday night, even in a matchup that's limited his assist numbers in the past.
