LA Clippers Reportedly Make New Signing

It was announced by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype that the LA Clippers have signed point guard Xavier Moon to an Exhibit-10 contract. This will give Moon an opportunity to join the Clippers in training camp, where he will compete for their final two-way roster spot.

The Clippers only have one remaining two-way slot, having used the others on Moussa Diabate and Jordan Miller. With no remaining standard roster spots, the Clippers will actually have to cut their roster down to the maximum allowed 15 players, assuming they do not make a multi-player trade before the season begins.

For Moon, this is an opportunity to stick around the league. While he has limited NBA experience, Moon has spent a lot of time with the Clippers G-League affiliate, and always performs well at that level. Also dominating Summer League, Moon earned this opportunity in training camp, and will look to grab LA's remaining two-way slot.

Having performed well in his limited NBA minutes, Moon has gotten opportunities with the Clippers at times the last two seasons when injuries have thinned the roster out. Playing 10 games during the 2021-22 season, Moon appeared in just four last season, but does have NBA minutes under his belt.

If Moon does earn LA's final two-way slot, he will spend most of his time with the Ontario Clippers where he has been very solid.
