Kyrie Irving wants to play 1-on-1 vs. fellow All-Star Kemba Walker

This one will surely get Boston Celtics fans riled up. Brooklyn Nets point guard and former Boston Celtic Kyrie Irving wants a piece of current Celtics point guard Kemba Walker.

Over the weekend, Irving joined professional basketball player Darryl Bryant for an Instagram Live session, and the Nets star noted he wants to play Walker in a game of one-on-one.

“Me and K-Walk, I want that matchup,” Irving said, as transcribed by NESN's Dakota Randall. “I want K-Walk. Me and K-Walk … we have to. Me and K-Walk, that’s my matchup. I want K-Walk. … That’s my big bro. You know we got mutual respect, but I know everybody wants to see it — out of New York, New Jersey. Every time we play against each other it’s always a game. He gave us 40, I gave him 40.

“Back-and-forth, that’s just part of where we grew up.”

Irving is one of the best point guards in the league, as is Walker, so a one-on-one matchup between the two would be extremely entertaining. Although Irving has been out most of the 2019-20 season due to a shoulder injury, he'll likely be ready to go come the start of next season.

The 28-year-old caused plenty of drama during his tenure with the Celtics, so Boston fans wouldn't mind watching Walker take on Irving in any situation.
