Kings coach Alvin Gentry sidelined with COVID-19

Sacramento Kings interim head coach Alvin Gentry will not be on the court for Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards after testing positive for COVID-19, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday morning.

Gentry took over as coach last month in place of Luke Walton. Sacramento has lost its last three games.

Wednesday's game is still scheduled to take place, although the Kings are reportedly taking more precautionary measures following Gentry's positive test.

The Kings are just the latest team to contend with a COVID outbreak this week, as the NBA joins the NFL and NHL in seeing a staggering number of positive tests over the past week.
