Jeremy Lin hints at retirement after not receiving any NBA offers

Jeremy Lin's professional basketball days could soon be behind him.

On Tuesday, the California native took the time to reflect on the past season, in which he played both in China and the G League, and hinted at retirement:

"I didn't get it all done, but I have no regrets," Lin wrote. "I gave my ALL and hold my head high. As for what's next, I trust what God has in store for me … Thanks to everyone whose rolled with me on this journey. I love you all."

Lin didn't officially announce his retirement from basketball. However, his comments certainly make it sound like he won't return to the court.

The Harvard product's post comes after he spent the 2020-21 season with the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association and the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League.

Last season for the Ducks, Lin averaged 22.3 points, 5.6 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game while shooting 49.1% from the field and 33.8% from deep. When he moved to the G League, that success didn't translate, which resulted in no NBA offers being sent his way.

If this is it for Lin, he had a solid basketball career. One of his best seasons in the NBA came when he spent the 2011-12 campaign with the New York Knicks, averaging 14.6 points per game. He also played for the Houston Rockets, Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors.
