Many seasoned vets are doing their darnedest to entice front offices with auditions during the NBA's ongoing Summer League action in Las Vegas.

Los Angeles Lakers fans will notice that another familiar face is reportedly joining the fray today.

Agent Daniel Hazan informs Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report that his client, longtime journeyman NBA shooting guard Dion Waiters, who won a title as a fringe bench piece for your Lakers in 2020, is holding a private workout for multiple franchises today in Las Vegas.

Waiters, a 6'3" combo guard out of Syracuse, hasn't appeared in an NBA contest since his limited run with LA's championship squad in the fall of 2020.

He was selected with the fourth overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2012, then was flipped to the Oklahoma City Thunder during eventual Lakers teammate LeBron James' first season back with Cleveland in 2014-15. He also enjoyed an up-and-down tenure with the Miami Heat for several seasons, before eventually signing on with Los Angeles late into the 2019-20 season.

Across the duration of eight-year pro run, the now-31-year-old boasts career averages of 13.1 points on .412/.346/.694 shooting splits, 2.8 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 0.9 steals a night.
