Eric Bledsoe to Sign With Shanghai Sharks
Kiyoshi Mio-USA TODAY Sports

Free agent guard Eric Bledsoe has agreed to a deal with the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association, per Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.

Bledsoe, 32, is 6-foot-1 and was waived by the Trail Blazers in July, remaining on the market since.

He was acquired by the Blazers in a February trade with the Clippers, a deal that sent Robert Covington and Norman Powell to LA. Bledsoe did not appear in a game with Portland.

Prior to the trade, he appeared in 54 games with the Clippers, averaging 9.9 points, 4.2 assists and 3.4 rebounds. He has also spent time with the Suns, Bucks and Pelicans during his 13-year career.

Bledsoe’s deal with Portland was set to become guaranteed on July 10, prompting them to let him go a few days before that. He was originally drafted by the Thunder with the No. 18 overall pick in 2010, then immediately traded to the Clippers.

Former NBA forward Michael Beasley is also listed on the Sharks’ 2022-23 roster.
