'Eagles' chants rain down at MSG during 76ers/Knicks contest

Philadelphia fans are a menace, even on the road.

During Sunday's Philadelphia 76ers vs. New York Knicks contest at the legendary Madison Square Garden, Philly fans in attendance let New Yorkers know which NFC East team would be playing in Super Bowl LVII a week from now.

Eagles fans at MSG also had time to bully a former New York Giant, Justin Tuck. According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Tuck was booed lustily by Philadelphia fans after being introduced to the crowd, followed by, what else, an Eagles chant.

For New York sports fans, watching the Eagles plow through their team on its path to Super Bowl was terrible enough, but Sunday was yet another hit to their psyche as earlier in the week, the Empire State Building glowed Eagles' green following the NFC title game.

If Eagles fans enthusiasm at MSG proved anything, it's that Philadelphia fans travel well. The same will be true for next Sunday's big game in Arizona. According to a report from 6 ABC's John Paul, 24 percent of Super Bowl ticket purchases have come from Pennsylvania, the most in the U.S. by far. Meanwhile, eight percent of ticket buys have come from New Jersey, which also has a sliver of Eagle-fan territory.
