David West: Warriors will 'bum rush' opponents next year

It seems crazy to call a team that has won three championships underrated, but that's the rare territory the Warriors might find themselves in next season. After making five straight finals, the team took a huge downwards turn due to Kevin Durant leaving, with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson missing the majority of the season due to injury. Former Warriors teammate David West claims that with Steph and Klay coming back healthy, the Warriors will be in a position to surprise a lot of people.

"I think they're going to be ready to roll, honestly. …You know, I think that they're going to be in a mode where they're crazy enough to feel like they've got something to prove," West told The Athletic. "So I wouldn't be surprised if they literally come back and … just bum-rush the league (with) the kind of thrust that they hit the league with (that's) similar to what they did when they first sort of started."

To West's point, the Warriors still have the greatest shooting duo in NBA history and Draymond Green, which was the core that made them such a phenomenal team in the first place. Add in Andrew Wiggins and a lottery pick (or whatever they could get if they traded Wiggins and a high draft pick), and it's not hard to imagine this team competing.

On the other hand, the Western Conference is stacked like it has never been during the Warriors' previous runs. Further, while Klay and Steph should still be elite, it looks like Green's best days might be behind him. Whatever happens, it will be exciting the see the Warriors healthy again and ready to contend.
