Damian Lillard has warning about Bucks for rest of NBA

The Milwaukee Bucks are off to a solid start this season, but Damian Lillard thinks the team is going to take things to another level sooner rather than later.

The Bucks are still working on perfecting the pick-and-roll game involving Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, with the two stars still feeling each other out. That prompted Lillard to issue something of a warning to the rest of the league about how dangerous the team will be once he gets going.

“Right now I’m not even making my three,” Lillard admitted, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic. “Like, bro, the scariest thing is that we’re (15-6) right now, and we’re trying to figure it all out. And I haven’t even gotten started, bro. I promise you.”

Lillard is correct that his perimeter shooting has yet to live up to his standards. He is shooting 35.2 percent from three-point range, roughly two percent lower than his career average. If those shots start falling, the Bucks could really erupt.

There is a lot of positivity in Milwaukee’s camp right now, and a great deal of optimism that we have yet to see the best of what they are capable of. Despite that, they’re still in the semi-finals of the first in-season tournament, and they are only a half-game off the pace in the Eastern Conference.
