The Milwaukee Bucks will begin their pursuit of another NBA Championship this season. Yesterday, the team reported for their first day of training camp. One of their first orders of business was re-signing restricted free agent Jordan Nwora to a two-year contract. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN was the first to break the news.

The signing brought an end to the long-awaited decision of what the Bucks planned to do with Nwora. As a restricted free agent, Milwaukee had full control over him.

Jordan Nwora Addresses the Media

Not long after signing his new contract, Nwora took the time to speak with the media. He had a great deal to say about his playing time and what he took away from having to wait so long to sign his contract.

As many fans are well aware, Jordan Nwora has rarely been used on the court outside of garbage time minutes or to fill in for injured players. As Nwora said in the video above, he does not plan on letting that be the case this year.

Notably, Nwora stated that he saw other players getting new contracts this offseason. When his contract offer did not come, he realized (finally) that he was not doing the things that Coach Budenholzer and his staff have been asking him to do. Having realized that listening to his coaches can lead to good things, hopefully, we start to see him reach the potential that he has shown in flashes.

In two NBA seasons, both with the Bucks, Nwora has career averages of 7.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. He is a career 37% shooter from beyond the arc, but did shoot over 45% in his rookie season. In other words, if Nwora can put it all together, he will be a lethal shooting threat off the bench for the Bucks this season and beyond.
