Atlanta Hawks Officially Sign Recent Milwaukee Bucks Player

Wesley Matthews has been one of the better role players in the NBA for over a decade. 

This past season, the 14-year NBA veteran appeared in 52 games for the Milwaukee Bucks and averaged 3.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 36.3% from the field and 31.5% from the three-point range. 

On Saturday, the Atlanta Hawks officially announced that they have signed the 36 year old.     

Via The Hawks : "ATLANTA – The Atlanta Hawks have signed guard Wesley Matthews, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed."

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski initially reported that Matthews' deal with the Hawks is for one year.  

In addition to the Bucks, Matthews has also spent time with the Portland Trail Blazers, Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Lakers, Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks. 

He has career averages of 11.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 42.0% from the field and 37.6% from the three-point range in 950 regular season games. 

In addition, Matthews has played in 66 NBA playoff games, so he will bring significant experience to the Hawks' locker room.
