Atlanta Hawks Make 2 Roster Moves On Monday
USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Hawks have been in the news recently, because they hired Quin Snyder to be their new head coach after firing Nate McMillan.

That said, the team also made two rosters moves on Monday when they recalled Tyrese Martin from the College Park Skyhawks (G League) and assigned Donovan Williams to the Skyhawks.

Via Hawks PR: "The Atlanta Hawks announced today that Tyrese Martin has been recalled to the Hawks from the College Park Skyhawks, while two-way guard Donovan Williams has been transferred from the Skyhawks to the Hawks."

Martin is a rookie who was drafted with the 51st pick in the 2022 NBA Draft this past summer.

He has played in 13 games for the Hawks and is averaging 1.2 points per contest.

Meanwhile, Williams is also a rookie (undrafted), and has not yet made his NBA debut.

Right now, the Hawks are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 31-30 record in 61 games.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

At home, the Hawks are 17-12, while they have gone 14-18 on the road.

They are one game behind the Miami Heat for the seventh seed and 3.5 games back of the New York Knicks for the sixth seed.

In each of the last two seasons, the Hawks have made the NBA Playoffs and they made the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021.

On Tuesday evening they will play their next game when they host the Washington Wizards.
