2019 NBA 1st-Round Pick Is Still A Free Agent
USA TODAY Sports

Romeo Langford is coming off a year where he appeared in 43 regular season games for the San Antonio Spurs and averaged 6.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 46.7% from the field and 26.2% from the three-point range.

This summer, the 23-year-old became a free agent, and he still remains available to be signed by any team in the league.

Coming out of high school, ESPN ranked Langford as the fifth-best player in the country.

After one season of college basketball playing for the Indiana Hoosiers, he was the 14th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics.

His career averages are 4.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 43.0% from the field and 28.8% from the three-point range in 141 regular season games (he has also appeared in 11 NBA playoff games).

During the 2021 NBA playoffs (with the Celtics), Langford played in four games and averaged 9.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 40.6% from the field and 35.3% from the three-point range.

Over his four seasons in the NBA, Langford has shown flashes of his potential to be a very good player.

Since Langford is a recent lottery pick (and still so young), he could be an excellent addition to a young team looking to develop talent.

In addition, there are contending teams that need to add players on veteran's minimum deals to their bench.

Langford will be a name to watch over the next few weeks because training camp around the NBA will begin in September.
