The Richmond Cup race of last week featured some drama surrounding two of the biggest names of NASCAR, Bubba Wallace and Kyle Larson . On the penultimate lap of Toyota Owners’ 400, the No:23 Camry driver spun the No:5 Chevy send the race to overtime, changing the whole result. After the race the duo sorted the beef, as the Toyota driver publicly apologized for his actions.

Now they have now took the center stage for the second straight weekend as they were involved in dual for the pole position during the qualifying. On the final session Bubba Wallace pulled of a 19.719s lap to secure the provisional pole. He was dreaming of starting the race upfront on Sunday, when Kyle Larson produced a 19.718s lap to steal it.

Wallace was eagerly watching his HMS rivals pole lap from the side-line and had a golden reaction to it. He had previously blamed Karma for wrecking Larson for his finish outside the top-10 last week and reckons the same Karma has followed him to this week. Wallace did congratulate Larson for the pole win as soon as he rolled onto the garage area.

Of all people, it would be Larson -- by a thousandth… Proud of our team though, so it’s good. Bubba Wallace said.

Kyle Larson responded to Bubba Wallace’s Karma claim

The HMS driver during his post-qualifying interview was asked about the comments from his Toyota driver. Larson responded that he believes the score was already settled when he secured P3 finish despite the clash at Richmond while Wallace’s race got ruined in the pit-stop. Both drivers seem to be enjoying the hilarious beef they are having.

Last week was pretty sweet revenge, us finishing third and him having a rough pit stop. Kyle Larson said.

They Chevy driver also highlighted how important the pole position is for him as it would allow him to once again compete at the top on Sunday and possibly secure his second win of the season. He also claimed that in the Next-Ge era the track position is really important at short tracks. Fans can expect a strong fight from the start between Wallace and Larson on Sunday.
