Sean O'Malley & Coach Warn Jorge Masvidal About 'Bad Situation' With Chael Sonnen Beef: 'You Don't Want To Get Into A Fight With That Dude...'
Rich Storry-USA TODAY Sports

UFC Bantamweight Champion Sean O'Malley has weighed in on the ongoing beef between Chael Sonnen and Jorge Masvidal.

Despite both being retired from the bloodthirsty world of MMA, Jorge Masvidal and Chael Sonnen have been trading harsh barbs in recent months. During an appearance on The MMA Hour, "Gamebred" revealed he'd love to hurt Sonnen in a fight, even suggesting he'd breaking his orbital bone.

In response, "The Bad Guy" unsurprisingly roasted Masvidal's gangster persona, and even suggested he's a far more dangerous individual in the real world.

For now, it's unclear where this feud will go. Considering the steakhouse incident with Colby Covington during his lengthy feud with "Gamebred," though, perhaps Sonnen should watch his back for a little while.

'Chael's A Different Dog Than Colby' - O'Malley's Coach Comments On Masvidal/Sonnen Beef

During a recent edition of the TimboSugarShow, "Sugar" and Tim Welch discussed the ongoing situation. Welch suggested that if Masvidal were to jump Sonnen in the streets, he'd be in for a very dangerous fight.

"Chael's a different dog than Colby though," Welch said. "Chael will turn around and will fight you, and he's big, and he's f***ing strong right now, guaranteed."

O'Malley then gave his opinion on the matter.

"That sounds like a bad situation."

Welch pointed out Sonnen's size and strength warning that he could take a foe down.

"Big Chael dude, you don't wanna get in a fight with that dude, unless you have a great guard and you're great from fighting on your back."

O'Malley then pointed out that if such a scuffle were to break out, it's likely it would be put to a stop quickly assuming there were a lot of people around to witness it. However, the risk of suffering a surprise attack is always a danger.

"Realistically, there's going to be people around," O'Malley said. "It's going to get broken up fast. The thing is, boom, getting hit when you're not looking, that's the thing."
