Unbeaten lightweight Salamat Isbulaev collected another first-round finish at Alash Pride 95 in Khazakstan.

Fight fans just saw a veteran of Khazakstan’s Octagon League make his UFC debut last Saturday when Beksat Almakhan took on Umar Nurmagomedov, but Alash Pride FC has also established itself as one of the country’s top proving grounds and held its third event of the year on Sunday in Almaty.

Scheduled to take on experienced veteran Bagautdin Abasov on the night’s main card, Isbulaev needed less than two minutes to connect with a perfect spinning back kick that left Abasov stunned on the canvas (clip courtesy of the one and only @Grabaka_Hitman).

Isbulaev landed one follow-up punch before the referee quickly intervened, and impressively the highlight-reel result beat out the 27-year-old’s previous first-round victories for the fastest win of his pro career.

Abasov entered his Alash Pride debut with a significant edge in pro experience over his opponent, but Isbulaev had a lengthy amateur career where he went 29-3 before the lightweight made his pro debut last year at Alash Pride 80 and submitted Magomed Shotaev in just over three minutes.

Isbulaev hails from Russia but has spent his entire pro career with Alash Pride thus far, and considering the 27-year-old still hasn’t gone past the opening round he’s certainly a prospect that fight fans will want to keep an eye on going forward.
