Jorge Masvidal is no stranger to mixing it up with fellow UFC fighters outside of the Octagon.
This time it was Kevin Holland who drew the ire of the 38-year-old warrior, as the two had to be separated by security officers in the lobby of their Miami hotel ahead of Saturday's UFC 287 card.
Although it is not known what sparked the incident, MMAFighting.com is reporting that the dispute was “nothing major" and relayed that the confrontation between the two welterweight contenders was only verbal.

The spat could have possibly stemmed from Holland’s remarks on Wednesday, in which he was asked for his prediction for the UFC 287 co-main event which features Masvidal and Gilbert Burns.
“[Masvidal] sucker punches people, [Burns] shows up to fight,” Holland said. “[Masvidal] is a douche bag, [Burns] is a good guy. So, there you go.”
Masvidal has been involved in a few other out-of-the-cage scuffles with other fighters in the past, rumbling into a physical fight with current welterweight champion Leon Edwards backstage in 2019 and coming to blows with Colby Covington outside of a Miami restaurant in March of last year.
Masvidal (35-16) and Burns (21-5) will fight in the UFC 287 co-main event on Sataurday, with the winner the presumed next in line for a welterweight title shot at Edwards. Masvidal has lost his last three bouts while Burns has alternated wins and losses over his last five fights.
For his part, Holland (23-9) is scheduled to fight Santiago Ponzinibbio (29-6) in a welterweight bout on the UFC 287 main card. The 30-year-old has lost each of his last two fights and four of his last seven, while Ponzinibbio has dropped three of his last five fights since running up a seven-fight win streak.
