Yankees Sign Former Mets Reliever
Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

NASHVILLE - The New York Yankees have made another move.

No, it is not the trade for superstar Juan Soto, which is expected to be finalized shortly.

According to reporter Jessica Kleinschmidt, the Yankees have signed right-handed reliever Dennis Santana to a minor league deal with an invite to big-league camp in spring training.

Santana, 27, spent the 2023 season with the New York Mets, appearing in nine games and posting a 5.91 ERA across 10.2 innings.

The Yankees have holes to fill in their bullpen and Santana is an intriguing arm with major league experience, who could win a spot in camp.

At the very least, Santana is a depth move for the Yankees, who want to bulk up their pitching staff at the upper levels of the minor leagues.
