White Sox Update: Elvis Andrus, Romy Gonzalez, Upcoming Starters

While the main topic yesterday was the White Sox’ first Spring Training win of the season, we also learned more about Elvis Andrus at second base, the White Sox starting rotation moving forward in Spring Training, Oscar Colas and Romy Gonzalez’s offseasons, and much more.

White Sox defeat Mariners 10-1

The Sox picked up their first win, and manager Pedro Grifol’s first Cactus League win this spring, against the Seattle Mariners yesterday by a score of 10-1. You can read all the action in our game recap below!

Upcoming Starting Pitchers

The pitching rotation for the Sox up until Friday has been released. Throughout this week, the White Sox will play the Diamondbacks, Guardians, Rockies, and Reds.

Elvis Andrus discusses his first in-game appearance at 2B

Andrus said weirdest thing about second base was time between innings. Said actually playing it was a little trickier than perhaps he anticipated, though, esp with runners on. Needs more games before he’ll feel comfortable.
