According to the team, Chicago White Sox right-handed relief pitcher Jimmy Lambert has begun a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte.
Lambert, who has been on the IL since May 29th with an ankle injury, has appeared in 23 ballgames already for the White Sox this season. Even despite the missed time, he is well on pace to match his career high 42 appearances that was set just last season. The right-hander holds a 5.91 ERA with 24 strikeouts over 21.1 innings of work.
The first game action for Jimmy Lambert came in Wednesday night's ballgame against the Gwinnett Stripers. His final line in the appearance: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 1 K. The Knights dropped the ballgame by a final of 8-5.
