Rogers entered the home tilt at the beginning of the top of the sixth with the game tied at five. The southpaw walked pinch-hitter Trayce Thompson to open the frame, then walked Chris Taylor, walked Mookie Betts and walked Freddie Freeman to force in a run.

Rogers' line was hideous, going 0 innings and allowing four runs (all earned) with four walks. Los Angeles won 10-5 and Rogers took the loss, with his ERA ballooning to 18.90.

It's probably a good idea for San Francisco manager Gabe Kapler to give the 32-year-old twin of fellow Giants reliever Tyler Rogers a few days off to recover from Wednesday's brutal appearance. When the former Twins closer next takes the mound for the team, we'll see if he indeed has a new glove on, and if it makes any kind of difference in throwing the ball over the plate.
