Watch: D-backs set playoff record with four solo HRs in one inning

In Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Wednesday, the Arizona Diamondbacks wrote another unbelievable chapter of their incredible postseason story.

Facing Los Angeles Dodgers starter Lance Lynn, the Diamondbacks hit four solo home runs in the third inning alone, accomplishing an MLB postseason first.

Four of the first five Diamondbacks to see the plate in the third inning went yard, with shortstop Geraldo Perdomo, second baseman Ketel Marte and first baseman Christian Walker hitting long balls.

The Diamondbacks posted back-to-back homers to set the record after catcher Gabriel Moreno followed Walker's deep fly with one of his own, but not before some theatrics.

Moreno had seemingly gone deep on a 2-2 pitch from Lynn, slicing it inside the right-field fair pole. However, after an umpire review, the ball was ruled foul.

Despite having rounded the bases and celebrated with his teammates in the dugout, Moreno wasn't bothered. Instead of pouting, he crushed the next pitch he saw 420 feet over the wall in left-centerfield.

After the All-Star break, no team in MLB hit fewer homers than the Diamondbacks (61), which goes to show that in the postseason, nearly anything is possible.
